Pansies = Pensées = Springtime!
Here they are, a closeup from the pot outside the front door, some welcome faces of Spring after the winter from Hell. A welcome sight for sore and winter-blinded eyes!

This pop of color is fantastic! A lovely welcome to spring. 🙂
LOVE LOVE LOVE Pansies! Bet they’re up and about in MN too —
“Welcome” is an understatement!
🙂
YES!
One of my favorite books as a child was called Peter Gets His Wish, a story about a little boy who wants his own flower garden, and whose mother buys pansy plants with their “little smiling faces that look right at him.” Peter picks all the blossoms for his mother and then, at bedtime, realizes there aren’t any flowers left in his garden. What a surprise he gets the next day when he finds there are more blossoms! I’ve loved pansies ever since, both for their smiling little faces and the fact that the more blooms you pick, the more they produce.
Lovely story; and you answer a question before I ask it — so I can really just go and keep picking them? I do love pansies.
Your love of spring is shining SO BRIGHTLY in this photo!
That is quite a bright and shining pansy face, isn’t it? And since Pauline told me (see her comment) that pansies produce more flowers the more you pick them — there’s no stopping me —
I am glad this long-awaited spring is finding its way to your neck of the woods.
Thanks, Tara. Although it’s finding its way on reluctant feet — warming up one day and chilling down the next!
Today is a chilly one —
That is probably good Judith. After such a long, brutal winter, it would surely put your frozen bodies into shock if it warmed too fast! Take the time needed to thaw and enjoy the teasing warm weather.
It’s always so refreshing to be presented with an original opinion, an original take.
Thanks you, Tara!
