Twinkle twinkle little pond —
In Acadia National Park, on a brilliant summer’s day, the diamonds of this small pond twinkled in three bands, each on a different frequency. Acadia itself is a jewel in the crown of the State of Maine, The Way Life Should Be.
Yes!
Have you ever visited Maine? If so, what is your favorite place? If not, do you have a favorite national park in the US? Elsewhere?
Not a national park but I do love Stourhead.
I don’t even recognize the name, Julia.
This is a case for Google! Thanks for the introduction to somewhere new.
Lucy On The Lake With Diamonds – brilliant! I have never been to Maine, but am thinking I should make a trip there…. Know anyone who might be willing to host me? 🙂
What a great phrase: Lucy on the Lake with Diamonds. I love it! I can hear it now —
Maine isn’t exactly like Minnesota, but there may be resemblances — Portland (a great food town) reminds me so much of Seattle, if you know the latter.
At first blush, I don’t know any possible hosts, but I will think on it.
Indeed, there are diamonds in this pond 😀 What a brilliant shot, I love how the “diamonds” seem to be out of reach at the very back – sneaky. I’ve never visited the States. But here in Australia we do have many parks, parks with lots of greenery though the ponds and lakes are a tad small 🙂
New England is a small state, but our ponds run to big!
I’ve never been to Australia, although I long dreamed of it. What a place to capture the imagination! Brilliant!
On my Yahoo weather app, I have Melbourne as one of my locations and every day they show a photo of it. Often it’s the same photo, alas, but a girl can dream!
That is funny, your weather app showing how hot or cold Melbourne is! A little dreaming doesn’t hurt, gives us something to look forward to…someday, you never know 😀
Never been to Maine. Bucket list! Great (enticing) shot.
Not THAT far from New Jersey. And on the way you pass through MA, near enough to us. Bonus!
