All three are stunning! (The painting, the floral arrangement, and the photo that captures them both.) I think I know who took the pic – but who did the arranging and the painting?
The flowers were part of an outpouring for Mother’s Day that astounded me (as well as, obviously, delighting me). I happened to notice — as these sat in their vase on the table — how they echoed the colors in the painting on the wall behind them, and so the photograph came into being.
The painting itself is an acrylic we bought many years ago right out of a gallery window in Assisi, an abstract which allows me to read my own stories into it. I’ve never stopped loving it from the very first glimpse.
I love the comparison here and you are right – they are both art. Nature is a master of it and we seek to capture it.
With just enough success to keep us eternally on the quest!
THE PHOTOGRAPH! That’s the work of art!
Well, thank you kindly!
(I never thought of that.)

A perfect image for a bright, sunny, spring day!
