Weekly Photo Challenge: BEGINNING

I woke up this morning to blue sky and sun and the orange of the desert flowering, and puffy white clouds and dry heat on my skin and then —-

Desert Heat

I really woke up. To 12 degrees below zero Fahrenheit, and a white-mantled garden, and the frozen New England world outside, and a forecast for more of the same through what seems like eternity.

It’s only the beginning of winter and the beginning of the New Year and here I am, dreaming of summer! Arizona days, I’m ready to begin again!

I like your dream much better than our shared reality. The predicted high temp for Monday is NEGATIVE 15 degrees (with a windchill of negative 25 – as the HIGH temp). Ouch.

Well, winter is a good time to stay in and dream, or better yet, to go out, get really cold and THEN come in and dream πŸ™‚ Forgot to mention on your other blog how much I loved the photo of the violets – it caught their shy sweet nature so perfectly!

Love the take on the theme! Very clever!

  4. I won’t wish the days away, but I can wish I was standing in that photo. πŸ™‚ Nice!

  5. Jen Payne says:

Polar Vortex. Sounds like a wonderfully terrible B movie!

All over the newspaper headlines here, the latest buzz phrase.
You’re right about the movie, though. Could be a major horror flick! (God knows it already is in real life.)

I love comments! Thanks for coming by and visiting ---
