Weekly Photo Challenge: GOOD MORNING

Probably 355 days a year I have exactly the same breakfast:

Aged Swiss

One slice of Sargento Aged Swiss and one thin slice of boiled ham on a very lightly buttered piece of WASA bread, and a cup of tea. It satisfies. It’s heavy on protein and holds me till late lunch, if necessary. But it isn’t gorgeous, and it doesn’t clasp the imagination and run away with it!

Here’s a breakfast that does — but I don’t dare to have one such more than a few mornings a year. This was one of those indulgent mornings:

Vaguely English breakfast

A vaguely English breakfast — even though the sausage is actually a bratwurst. And it was delicious!

I am drooling and I do not dare touch that at all.

  2. That egg looks just like I like it. And I love a touch of tomato. I’d add a few sautéed mushrooms, just cause I love ‘me. 😉
Thanks for the lip smackin’ post.

Knew I shouldn’t look at it! Scrummy!

I have a few “standard” breakfasts that I rotate through, too. But I dislike eating the *exact* same thing for two days in a row, so I usually mix them up slightly with different fruits, nuts, cereals, or other flavors. Here is one of my standards (only now the cottage cheese and yogurt are replaced with coconut yogurt and soy protein powder): http://savorysundays.wordpress.com/2011/12/18/breakfast-parfait/

      They look yummy!
I do have an alternate breakfast, mostly for when I go right to the gym. (Alas, doesn’t happen as often as it should.) That one is pretty close to yours — Familia (no sugar added), my favorite granola (local from Vermont, with nuts and other goodies), some fruit — banana or blueberries usually — and skim milk.
But the ham/cheese/Wasa is definitely the go-to!

I love comments! Thanks for coming by and visiting ---
