Look what happens, though, when somebody (an architect, obviously) throws a curve ball! This is the remodeled entrance to the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, PA.  Established in an old mill on a river, this museum that houses the art of three generations of Wyeths has been expanded and redesigned over the years into a work of art in its own right. The newest addition (new to me, at any rate) evokes the gentle curves of a Japanese garden:
