Yeah, it’s great to have mobile phones that double as cameras. Or iPads that double as cameras. It’s also great to have cameras, PERIOD. It’s the photos that count, isn’t it?
So here’s another photo of “my neighborhood,” stretching that to mean the greenhouses at two local colleges that brighten up our world when it’s dull and dreary, rainy or snowy. Here’s a subtle capture of something that I almost missed, and a poem it reminded me of:
Flower in the Crannied Wall
Flower in the crannied wall,
I pluck you out of the crannies,
I hold you here, root and all, in my hand,
Little flower—but if I could understand
What you are, root and all, all in all,
I should know what God and man is.
Alfred, Lord Tennyson
As for what device I took it with, why, it’s Nunya!
(And what’s Nunya? Nunya business! 😉
Now I know this doesn’t look like it, but actually the photo was taken INSIDE the greenhouse at Mount Holyoke’s Spring Bulb Show. For a a little more conventional look at the show, whiz over to sister blog Touch2Touch.
