Travel Theme: SECRET PLACES

Things being as they are in Northampton, which is, after all, a smallish town —

When you go out to eat or club you’re likely to meet “your Uncle Max and everyone you know”. But there is one place — a secret, secluded, mysterious, romantic place —

And it isn’t actually called Hernando’s Hideaway, although it’s a dead ringer for it! Β Look and listen, use your imagination, and don’t stop watching when the screen goes dark, the best is yet to come!

(If you’re hungry, I bet the food’s a whole lot better at my secret place than at Hernando’s. Can you guess? Clues: romance, colors, darkness, tapas, Spain — IBIZA! And for a bunch of other secret places, none of them QUITE so dark, try Where’s My Backpack?Β over at Ailsa’s Place.)

This post makes me wish there was a ‘love’ button on WordPress, not just a whimpy ‘like’ button. Brilliant! πŸ™‚

Very funny post πŸ™‚ but the colours in the photo are great too … loved it!

I’m with you, Rebekah —that’s really where I started, with those fabulous colors at Ibiza’s bar. Not only is their food great, but it’s a pleasure to sit there and look at the glowing colors.

Speaking of Secret Places…WHERE do they keep all of these glorious old musical movies you used to be able to watch all weekend long on Channel 9? Great video link!

(By the way, I just looked up YOUR Ibiza and it turns out they have a sister location down here in CT!)

I just do youtube searches, because I have the attention span of a sparrow for the old movies, so they suit me fine.
The New Haven Ibiza is the original restaurant, as it happens! We’re the newcomer — and thanks for reminding me, haven’t been for a while and need a fix. As soon as the thermometer goes down to just plain hot from BLAZING hot!
      Keep cool, Jen.
