Weekly Photo Challenge: INDULGE

Yeah, there are lots of ways to indulge — but my favorite ways will always involve chocolate in one form or another. Here’s a supreme example, the notorious Bars of SinΒ at Tucson’s Wildflower restaurant:

Incredible! Worth every calorie, and then some —-

Yum – I could indulge in that quite easily!

  2. coolfeline says:

Oh, this looks really good — especially to a chocolate lover like me.

I’m still thinking about this challenge..

  3. Stef says:

Oh. My. That looks WONDERFUL. Delish!

  4. jfb57 says:

I had a feeling I shouldn’t look at this one! I was right! Yummy!

  5. If that’s sinful, I’m headed in the right direction πŸ˜‰ As you say, anything involving chocolate – even death lol

  6. tms says:

The first couple of times I looked at this picture I just saw dessert – and completely missed the point that this is also a great composition. It seems like you use a wide-angle? Great picture, Judith!

    • tms says:

Aaaargh! “Dessert”, of course! This is the revenge for my saying that my favourite military operation is “Operation Dessert Storm”! I should never play around with a language I am not native to… I hope you have a good laugh and forgive me.

    • Touch2Touch says:

The artistic composition is due to the great eye of the pastry chef at Wildflower, a genius! I just crawl up as close to the plate as my point-and-shoot will allow —
When it comes to food photography, I usually go for the tight compositions.

Old proofreaders never die, they just keep on correcting —
I did that automatically as I read the comment, Tobias.
But I have to tell you — I absolutely LOVE “Operation Dessert Storm”! When it comes to waging warfare, you are on the right track. That’s how to do it, ferocious food battles —

Every time I see a fabulous dessert from now on, I will think of you!

  7. This looks amazing! I can see why they’re called bars of sin πŸ˜€

    A most definite indulgence!

    • Touch2Touch says:

I’m so glad you came by, Patti —
I tried to click on your indulgence under comments on the Daily Post — and it only brought me back to the Daily Post!
      Que pasa?

      • Patti Kuche says:

It might be due to Server Maintenance which has come up as I have tried to post comments . . . due to refresh in a few minutes. Strange, as I have never come across this before. Thank you for trying, it’s the thought that counts!

Am I the only one finding the new Weekly Photo Challenge theme a little on the . . . messy side?

      • Touch2Touch says:

It doesn’t succeed in pushing me beyond food, my main indulgence, and most frequent “model” for portraiture.
So I guess I’d say I find the theme — fattening!
(P.S. WordPress is making “improvements” — always an ominous word and time. I ran into problems with comments yesterday, probably the same thing.)

  9. Patti Kuche says:

Laughing at your mention of the theme being fattening! However, I was referring to the new layout of the Weekly Challenge which previously used Vigilance and has now moved to the new Linen theme. I am finding it more cumbersome, and tiring, to get around! Perhaps it is just me . .

  10. Death by chocolate, mud cake, and now bars of sin – yummy desserts with horrendous names are supposed to put us off them; I think, but honestly, it doesn’t work on me. I’m willing to plead my case to Saint Peter at the pearly gates for my overindulgence in those bars. I really think he’d understand.

Oh my goodness this looks delicious! Great photo and wonderful indulgance.

I love comments! Thanks for coming by and visiting ---
