They also serve who only stand and wait:
Shopping carts at Target, waiting for the customers!
This happens to be a very stylish photo, what with the red grid and the lines of chrome, like a massed army waiting for action! Lovely shot!
Patti, you nailed it. That’s exactly what I think of every time we’re there. (Which is often, because we go regularly to the Holyoke Mall for One to One training sessions at the Apple store. Apple doesn’t have a public restroom. Hence frequent stops at Target, close by!)
Great entry true waiting 🙂
And carts, unlike their humans, never complain. 😉
i love the line!
Would you believe, there are actually two long lines? I just took one —
Thanks so much for coming by and commenting, Jona!
Like red soldiers, lined up and waiting in rows, ready for action.
Great photo for the challenge, love it!
The redcoats are coming! The redcoats are coming!
Thanks so much for the comment, Barb —

Thanks, Kris. It makes me happy to make someone smile!
What posh trolleys you have! Very smart!
I don’t know if there are Target store in England, Julia —
The chain is known for low prices AND high style design!
I love this photo!
Thanks so much for the visit and the comment! It is appreciated —
Target has always had a great eye for design. So, apparently, do you!
Thanks, Jen —but Target makes a great deal of money from their great design! An obvious difference between us 😉
Thanks so much for visiting, Myfanwy!
obedient carts 🙂
What an interesting point of view! I never thought of that. they are so obedient they won’t make a move without us! 🙂
Just the right color for the holidays. Targé knows how to summon the hordes!
I should have known you would pronounce it properly, Pauline!
Very clever take on waiting and an excellent photo!
Thanks a lot, Theresa!
This is great…what a wonderful post…and obedient … never thought of that..great take on the prompt.
Siggi in Downeast Maine
Yes, the carts are obedient — unlike cats 😉
(Just one “r” makes a big difference!)
Aren’t you lucky to live up there on the coast of Maine? Beautiful country!
Good quote and great shot to go with it 🙂
Rather different quote — and photo — updating it today 😉
Great entry and take on the subject!
Check out the update though — just a couple of days later:
