Weekly Photo Challenge: Wonder

I wonder for whom this bench is waiting, in a frosty glade by moonlight:

(In fact, the photo was taken on a dull gray fall afternoon, and somehow it came out looking like this — which REALLY makes me wonder what was going on, and — truly! — who the bench was waiting for in mysterious moonlight. It wasn’t me.)

I never would have guessed the day was a gray one; the image looks beautiful. Perhaps a special guest was quietly sitting on the bench, patiently waiting for you.

  2. what a beautiful spot with light from the Divine upon it. whose spot is this, I wonder.

It does look quite magical 🙂

It has that ‘come and sit here’ feel about it. Great shot even if you didn’t know you were taking it!

It is indeed ‘waiting’ for someone, no? I guess it’s the soft light that hits the bench just so. 🙂

Such a gorgeous photo! It should grace a greeting card – just goes to prove there is always light, even if we don’t see it. You amaze me, J with your fine photography and your prodigious artistic streaks.

The reflection of this photo is so fascinating.very nice post .

  8. Wow. This is breath taking. The lighting just says so much and of course benches are an invitation. : )

Aren’t they, though? I think that’s why Look Park (the scene of so many of my photos) is so appealing — there are benches placed strategically (but unobtrusively) whenever you need one.

  9. This is a lovely photo. It seems to be the idyllic spot to sit your body down and let your mind wander off to explore the wondrous expanse.
