Weekly Photo Challenge: Morning

For a lot of people — resident husband included — breakfast is synonymous with

COFFEE. And so here we have the principal ingredient:

(Not for yours truly — I’m strictly a tea drinker, but in the USA, I’m in the not-very-vast minority.)

A fellow tea drinker! There’s nothing like that first, steaming sip…

    • Touch2Touch says:

Try and make a majority coffee drinker understand that!
We’re in the wrong country, in the wrong century, Pauline —

      • Pauline says:

I’ve often had that very same thought! I have a friend in England who twice a year sends a container of the most heavenly tea leaves – I have it first thing in the morning and as an afternoon mood soother/booster. Wonderful stuff, tea!

You know, I’ve tried the tea thing…really I have…but the fact of the matter is I am a hard-core coffee drinker! Strong, black coffee first thing in the morning, every morning, for decades! The photo is great! I can almost smell the aroma of a freshly brewed cup. πŸ™‚

I love my tea (but then, I am originally from the UK, lol!), but I have to start the day with a coffee – just the one – and then I drink tea for the rest of the day!

  4. I have not quite developed the acquired taste for tea yet. I do try though on occasion. Give me a single cup of coffee every morning, and I am ready to take on the day. Speaking of taking on the day, I hope you have a wonderful one!

I do both coffee & tea – just depends on the day and my mood. However, I usually take them both decaf.

When I do drink tea, though, it’s strictly black. Yum.

I would have assumed with yoga and meditation —
you’d do green tea, sencha, genmaicha, hojicha —
all of which I happen to love.
And there are my preconceptions showing big time!!!!!!!
      😳

      • Stef says:

Ah, we all have preconceptions…. if that is the most ‘egregious’ one you have, you’re a lucky gal! πŸ™‚

I’ve tried to like green tea (and reds, and roobios, and herbals, and all other sorts)… and I just don’t. So, I’ve accepted that I’m a black tea kind of gal. For now, anyway. πŸ™‚

      • Touch2Touch says:

“For now, anyway” is probably one of the wisest phrases all of us ought to have handy to our lips.
        Thanks for the reminder πŸ™‚
