Travel Notes from All Over —

(And now for something a little bit different —)

There used to be a regular feature in, was it The New Yorker? under that rubric, and something I came across while Googling this morning has prompted me to revive it here, if only just for today:

“Ladies, where to find a simple black night dress in Istanbul?”

It appeared in a travel forum. I do hope the lady in question has received a solution to her problem, and no longer has to sleep naked in Istanbul. Unless, of course, she wants to. Problems, problems….

(Dress on offer: not simple enough, you think? Too bad. It’s a closeout, and a bargain at 70 euros.)
