Here we are in Arizona, where sunlight rules until darkness descends more swiftly than back home in the East. But even in its fading, the light is beautiful on the mountains:

    Just look at that light! This is a marvelous photograph, J!

    Today we are looking at plain, unshaded grey. The sky is the color of the inside of a metal bucket and I must have the lights on indoors. There is the threat of wet snow in the mountains, thunderstorms in the valleys. Ah, Spring!

    You know, the mountains are like those lucky movie stars about whom it’s said, The camera loves her.
    I think it’s impossible to take a bad photograph of desert mountains.
