Weekly Photo Challenge: Ocean

The glassy green of the Atlantic breakers off the rockbound coast of Maine —

The tide rolls in, the tide rolls out, the visitors with their cameras come and go. They are all mere specks in the ocean of time:

Love your theme and the ocean.

  2. Pauline says:

I like the provocativeness of both the photo and your thoughts – time is a mere speck, too, isn’t it? Though you’ve captured that particular wave at that particular spot at that particular time, just think of all the previous and subsequent waves (not to mention people and cameras)! Albert Einstein averred that the only reason for time is so that everything didn’t happen at once. But, it still does, doesn’t it? (Wonder what you’re doing with your time while I’m writing this.)

You really wanna know? Dumping reams of paper (that had wrapped our worldly goods) into cartons as we unpack, then jumping in and trompling on them to compress them.
A paper treader, that’s what I am. Talk about specks in time!!!!!!!

  3. Pauline says:

    She tromps the papers
    that once wrapped their worldly goods;
    outside, a bird sings.

  4. Stef says:

I love how the wave/water color changes from white, to turquoise, to dark blue… terrific.

    Go paper treader! πŸ™‚

    • Touch2Touch says:

That was a gorgeous day in Maine. More fun being a camera clicker than a paper treader; but we’re going to order Chinese food for supper from a favorite place which used to be too far away, but now is so close it delivers! πŸ˜€

      • Stef says:

That’s a nice treat to what I suspect was a long, tiring day.

Do you have a favorite item you like to order? Just curious.

      • Touch2Touch says:

For nine long years in the Berkshires Chinese food was just a distant dream in a distant country!
So we’re going to reorient ourselves, and see how it goes. But I’m a big fan of this combo: twice-cooked pork (for the spicy) and chicken with broccoli (for the not).

  5. PanicMonster says:

I love the pine tree. beautiful nature shot. the ocean looks so powerful.

    • Touch2Touch says:

      “the ocean looks so powerful”
Because it is — It’s so powerful I’m not entirely comfortable around it! I prefer streams and rivulets and rippling brooks πŸ™‚
