      The stir-fried cabbage with garlic is from Ken Hom, and if you want the recipe I’ll send it — he says it’s really Chinese-American. (It’s delicious anyway.)
      But the chicken dish — would you believe? It’s prepared from a ready-mix packet called Cook-Do. Frank falls over laughing every time he hears the name. It’s made in Japan by Ajinomoto, sold here, and is a Japanese take on a Chinese dish being devoured by two hungry Americans. Talk about globalism!
