Are There Any Goodies for Us In Cold Storage?

Well, there are cabbages and winter squash and snow peas, see below — But perhaps there’s something more, perhaps there are souvenirs of summer past —

Now, when I’m starved for juiciness and freshness and most of all — for COLOR —  I dip into the cold storage bin on my hard drive and out come:

TOMATOES

and FRESH CORN

and SUNFLOWERS —-

Welcome, memories of summers past — and promises of summer to come again.

Sorry – the photos don’t do it for me. I need the real thing.

Hopefully soon winter will break and we’ll all have summers filled with these goodies! As an Ohioan, I look forward to a season jam-packed with all three!
